  • Avery Rabon

    Teacher

    Avery Rabon

Avery Rabon is excited to start his third year as the Choir Director at Pearland Junior High East! He is entering his sixth year teaching.   Mr. Rabon graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelors of Music Education in 2017. While at the University of Houston, Avery was a member of the esteemed Moores School Concert Chorale under the direction of Dr. Betsy Cook Weber.  His choirs have consistently received superior ratings at UIL concert and sightreading, and he also takes pride in helping many students make the region choir each year.  He is a vocal soloist at Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church, and has an extensive background performing multiple operatic roles and choruses. Avery’s father was a Choir Director, and he grew up surrounded by anything and everything musical. He always knew that he would end up with a career in music, and he is incredibly excited to continue educating in Pearland ISD. He will always strive to make sure every student in the program feels included, successful, and proud of the work they produce in the classroom and on stage. Most importantly, he wants to use choir to not only create better musicians and singers, but to teach the value of hard work, collaboration, and striving for excellence.
